Advice to Senior Management – Nothing to say, very competent, forward thinking, excellent HR standards.

Former Employee – worked at Scitor full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Great facilities, benefits package for mid-late career staff is strong, and there is genuine interest among the line staff to improve the company.
Cons – There is little to no structure in place for career path development of junior-mid level staff. Job openings are posted externally but current staff are actively discouraged from pursuing them. Corporate processes and infrastructure has not adapted to changing customer attitudes, budgets or expectations. Old school mentality with nothing but lateral movement for 'promotion'. Management has had it easy for too long and are comfy in their jobs. Not outwardly ambitious.
Advice to Senior Management – The realities of a changed market place are here to stay, for both customers and professionals you hope to hire. It is time to adjust, listen to those who are closest to your customers and staff on a daily basis. Consider working to improve communication and transparency. Turn the pyramid up side down, servant leadership is empowering when actually put in practice. The old way is no longer the best way.

Current Employee – been working at Scitor full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Somehow Scitor has managed to find the best people to work with. I've retired from a career in the military and Scitor has been an excellent company to work for. You won't find better co-workers anywhere.
Cons – For a number of reasons (some not completly understood) Scitor has been forced to hire younger workers and cut salaries recently. They are hiring people with less experience, while still trying to grow the company. Nothing inherently wrong with that, its just the way things are now.
Advice to Senior Management – Continue to keep employees informed. Some are particularly concerned with the way Scitor is changing. There are fewer benefits that distinguish Scitor from any other company now. No real reason to hang around if you can make more money elsewhere. Its the great people that keep some of us hanging on.

Former Employee – worked at Scitor full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Great flexibility and company backing. Working directly with the customer as part of their team is very challenging and satisfying.
Cons – No career growth or work available locally. Reductions in customer budgets have all but elliminated opportunity for employment locally.

Current Employee – been working at Scitor
Pros – Excellent Benefits and compensation with challenging work environments depending on customer supported and contract you are on. Highly recommend the compnay.
Cons – As the company gets bigger it is getting more structured, regimented, and process driven which is reducing flexibility and innovation.
Advice to Senior Management – Take a step back and relax - address problem people vs creating policies that adversely effect all employees in the company.

Current Employee – been working at Scitor
Pros – If you have a clearance, there's no better place to work. There is no employee handbook. Management encourages you to grow the business even if you are an individual contributor. They really want you to buy into the culture at Scitor.
Cons – Good luck finding a position. Jobs are only attained from referrals. They definitely have a unique way of doing things. Very secretive about what they do...they call it being humble, but it's really secretive.
Advice to Senior Management – No big advice. Management is pretty receptive to new ideas. I wish they had an internal database of positions that are open. There's lots of good people out there, why not look for them?
