I have been working at Scope International full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    1. Functions like a state government office. You get your salary come what may, but you will not be happy about the job, or the learning.
    2. Pay is good.

    Cons

    1. Very old school. Having worked for multiple banks - this organization sucks at both banking and technology.
    2. Risk Averse - this means you can not do anything good, unless it has been done by every other organization for at least a hundred years.
    3. The management is absolutely a bunch of friends. which means decisions are taken over a round of drinks at ones home and nothing to do with the ground reality.
    4. Training - none at all.
    5. Work Life - there is no balance. People either do all work, or no work at all. I have seen people slogging for 17 hours a day, and their has been a case of at least one person who passed away at his desk after 30* hours of working.
    6. Employee Welfare - whats that?
    7. Car Parking - you need to pay and there is at least a 3 year waiting time before you get a slot. And its not cheap.
    8. There is a CSR initiative called ScopeAID. A bunch of extortionists who say car parking money goes to charity - but themselves travel to fancy tourist locations for meetings to decide what charity is going to be done.
    9. If you do not go to a village to paint a classroom for CSR - your performance rating is screwed.
    10. If you are experienced with any MNC - there is a 100% chance that your colleagues here to not have an idea of what you are talking about.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop this joke called Scope. Throw out the incompetent (practically all managers and above) - who have been there for the last decade) and get people who work.

I have been working at Scope International full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Very careful about the employees. All employee friendly policies. Flexibility to work and travel. Good CSR activities.

    Cons

Company forecasts values which are not rated appropriately during performance review. Lack of vision and planning in the top most level, which is creating bad impact down the hierarchy. Less inhouse more outsourced projects.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
