    One of the best reasons to work at Scotiabank, was its work environment, everybody so friendly, very good company to learn and launch a career

    Pros

    Collaborative work environment, people genuinely care about you, great international foot print and opportunities abroad. Compensation is pretty standard. flexibilty for start and end date around school.

    Cons

    Did not receive formal training, lots of favourites, lots of politics, people who have been there longer get promoted over people who are qualified and deserve it. management is afraid of drama.

    great staff, okay benefits, and the working culture is quite open.

    Cons

    some departments lack in technical skills. As well, salaries are sometimes low in comparison to other banks.

    Career opportunities are wide and my manager really made encouraged me to move up and gave me all the support I could need.
