    Management

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsNone to discuss at this time

ConsOwnership needs to wake up and supervise their key people. I think they would be disgusted with their limited knowledge and how most of the information they provide is fed from their line managers. It has gotten worse over the years and there are so many unneeded layers! They have invested trust in these people who are NOT making the right decisions. If you are not in the "drinking click" or having relations with someone within, you are frowned upon. Pretty sick

Advice to Senior ManagementSpend some time with your upper leadership team. Review where they are spending their time. Stopping in and screaming "HEY" is not being a leader or manager. Also, when you have a "manager" overseeing multiple places for 3 years and cant even pull a report or make a reservation, its time to make a change. Its wasted payroll!!! Wake up PLEASE!! Your managers will tell you....its talked about on the daily.

Very Under Paid, Very Long Hrs.

    Manager (Former Employee)
    Erie, PA

ProsI was like my own GM, I got to make the Area I was managing very successful. I was the buyer, the marketer and the promotions person. It was like my "Baby." I was very proud of what I accomplished.

ConsI was working as a Salaried Manager. Working an average of 58 hrs. or more a week, no incentives at all. Was told by Upper Management I was not working enough hours.

Advice to Senior ManagementTo be honest with the Managers about the amount of hrs. expected to work. To Trust your Managers Managers.

If you want to make minimum wage for the rest of your life...

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Findley Lake, NY

    Pros-Fun environment
    -Decent discounts
    -Friendly co workers

ConsYou will work for pennies. I have worked there seasonally for 9 years and still make minimum wage. Full time managers only make $9.00 an hour and most have been there 10 plus years.

Advice to Senior ManagementInstead of hiring dozens of new employees, pay the ones who know what they are doing a fair wage to avoid turnover.

The Scotts (owners) are not aware of what goes on in the operations of their properties

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Erie, PA

ProsThe Scotts themselves are great people and seem to have a genuine concern for those that work for them.

ConsMany of the supervisors that are held in high regard by the Scotts border on incompetent, do not have that same genuine concern for those below them. They are completely different when the Scotts are around then when they are not.

Advice to Senior ManagementHave a more anonymous method of evaluating supervisors. Seems they somehow always know who it is that did not evaluate them well.
