Pros
People and Benefits were both great
Cons
Business couldn't continue due to finanical issues
Pros
Benefits and salary are excellent
Cons
Company may not be around in the long term
Pros
The benefits are very comprehensive, and the company match for the 401(k) plan is very competitive. Charlotte is a great place to live, with a winters that are not as severe as further north, but, at the same time, it is not Florida, either.
Cons
There are limited opportunities for advancement, as the company hires experienced people rather than promoting from within. They along with Transamerica are the only games in town, limiting the leverage that people would otherwise have in trying to advance within the organization. Commute times can be long, if one chooses to live in Union County or in South Carolina.
Advice to Senior Management
Develop a rotational program to train people in other areas.
