Pros
Healthy environment, and less work pressure.
Cons
Some of the Managers will do micro managing, and like shcool kids they have time policy that need to be followed.
Pros
Great work environment and good co-workers
Cons
Can be boring at times.
Pros
paid, easy to hire, big name, good start as intern, easy work, but TOO easy
Cons
the manager of my debt treats his employee in very unfair way, such as working hour, promotion and workload. There is too much politic , for intern even!? Really? I hope the problem is only existed on my dept otherwise it is a big problem of Scottrade
Advice to Senior Management
please don't promote someone that is not qualified just because you like her, it pissed all other employee off.
Pros
Great supportive staff and management
Great pay
Management cares and is really flexible
Fun drawing for concerts and different sporting venues
Great corporate strategy
Great training opportunities
Cons
Constant restructuring and moving ever since acquiring other companies
Workload could be light at times and looking for more to do
Advice to Senior Management
Keep continuing to invest in employees. The company is rapidly growing and people make the company what it is. Also, give interns holiday pay.
Pros
It is an easy job with very little responsibilities.
Cons
The pay was low and there was a lot of training required for the short internship period. Management had a hard time voicing praise and criticism.
Pros
Work Life Balance
Low Stress
No sales/ commission
Cons
Limited ability to advance beyond branch manager without moving to STL
Advice to Senior Management
I love Scottrade
Pros
Scottrade has excellent benefits. Each employee is treated with respect. Scottrade also believes in promoting from within. There has never been a layoff.
Cons
I think that Scottrade is such a great place to work that I can look past any downsides that may be present.
Pros
Job security and no micro mgmt
Cons
Don't promote from within the company
Advice to Senior Management
promote from within
Pros
The easy-going atmosphere. One of the most casual brokerage firms out there.
Cons
Work environment depends on your team. Very small office with just 5-6 employees.
Pros
Nice benefits and good work environment
Cons
Not stimulating, slow career growth.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep doing the same things.
