    avoid this company if possible

    Process Engineering Co-Op (Former Employee)
    Palm Coast, FL

Prosbetter than average pay for the county

Consprimarily rural area resulting in few job opportunities and this company's power structure knows that, boys club mentality in management team resulting in zero advancement and heavy favoritism if your not a member. TERRIBLE working conditions often unsafe management seems to look at employees as if they are some expendable asset to be used up until worn out or broken then discarded like some tool. I could go on for hours but you get the picture

    Advice to Senior Managementcommit suicide

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

    smoke and mirrors

LEAD MAN Phase One and Two (Former Employee)
    Merritt Island, FL

ProsLocation (merritt island Florida) and 401k retirement package.

ConsBad management issues. HR does nothing for the hourly employees. If you are on the shop floor you are less than dirt! Quality issues in the mating of the prefabed galley and head section to the floor joists. They leave massive voids in the adhesive or (gunk) that they simply cover up at the visible spots only. This usually happens in phase one in the assembly area. During deck to hull mating the phase one guys do not measure how much to cut off the bulkheads. Instead they cut off a foot or more then after the deck is set hold the peices back up then trim them and STAPLE them back in. After that they simpley fiberglass over them and cover it with vinyl. I could go on and on!!!

Advice to Senior ManagementGet out of the office and see what your people are doing. Hire skilled tradesmen instead of crackheads! Clean house in the HR department ( they are not screening your employees). Offer competitive pay. There is a huge pay differance between they employees who build the boats and the people who sit in the office and talk about the boats! YOUR WELCOME!!

    Revolving Door of Talent

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Knoxville, TN

ProsGreat technology and innovation in the industry. Excellent training opportunities.

ConsThe work environment is not very stable. Each plant virtually operates differently from other SR Plants. Bureaucratic and favoritism work environments are at all levels of management. This impedes creativity and innovation. Most gem employees leave or are railroaded out of the company.

Advice to Senior ManagementClear out some of the deep-rooted managers that are cashed out and ready to retire.

    Typical "good ole boy network".

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Merritt Island, FL

ProsPride in creating something from nothing.
Most workers are common folk like you and good people.
    (Mostly) 4 day work weeks.
    Good pay rate for area.

ConsSupervision / Management lacking in ethics and employee concerns.
Very dirty, dusty working conditions (Fiberglass and saw dust).
Always working in the "Dark" as far as information goes.
No real work instructions, you do job from memory or experience.
    Tight working conditions.

Advice to Senior ManagementLook to your employees to help keep the business and jobs "Above Water".
They are your greatest asset and have plenty of great ideas to help which are overlooked daily.
Trust them with the facts and they will help to resolve any issues that may come up.
Look closer at who is put in supervisory positions.
leadership by fear and intimidation will not get Sea Ray back into the fore-front of the industry.
