    Pros

SeaChange is a proving ground. If you're good at what you do, it will show in the fruits of your work. There are exceptional people employed there who are hard-working individuals.

    Cons

Being a proving ground makes the environment tough to get good mentoring.

    Advice to Management

Employee morale is essential and not to be overlooked.

    Pros

Many of the people I worked with were wonderful and talented. The good ones are long gone.

    Cons

Product road map was a disaster and the net result was a complete defection of long standing customers. Sr. Leadership are running the business like it is a toy and for personal gain. This business is doomed.

    Advice to Management

    Sell the business.

    Pros

Some of the benefits are really good as compared to other companies. Flexible time Good health/dental benefits

    Cons

Sink or swim attitude. You are quickly required to know their product/process and fully support it. Management constantly changes their minds and direction. Raises have become next to nothing for non-management employees.

    Advice to Management

Get your act together. Communicate with everyone. Stop laying off your experienced employees in order to replace them with cheap contractors who know nothing.

    Pros

An opportunity to work with some smart and experienced engineers Decent employee benefits

    Cons

No coding standards are followed. Code is poorly written and is hardly ever tested for quality before deployment. There is no such thing as coding reviews or unit testing. The company is going downhill at a rapid rate due to various reasons as cited in other reviews. The management has no idea of what direction to take in order to steer the business back to profitability. Managers consistently and confidently lie or over-promise to clients about how much we can deliver in a very short span of time. We always end up not living up to our clients' expectations. Extremely low salary. Lots of managers are rude and hostile towards their subordinates. Engineering managers don't pay heed to suggestions given by other employees to improve development processes. Too much of office politics. It's sickening.

    Advice to Management

Improve the development processes. Start being innovative and invest resources in Research & Development. The stb product needs a lot of improvement. Stop lying to your clients. Treat your hard-working employees well.
