Very bad for temp employee for the Reading Manufacturing Company

Temporary Packer (Former Employee) Reading, PA

ProsThe pay is excellent for the amount of work you actually do compared to other factory jobs. There happens to be a lot of over time during some periods in the year.

ConsManagement is extremely bad. Lack of future incentive and very disorganized. Employees gossip a lot like in high school. Temp employees are treated unjustly.

Advice to Senior ManagementHave a better relationship with tenure and temp employees. It will tremendously help quality and quantity in terms of production.

    Inconsistant accountability

Materials Manager (Former Employee) Louisville, KY

ProsSome workers within the organization have very strong work ethics & are willing to help out where needed.

ConsManagement does not work as a team to solve problems. They look at finger pointing and someone to point blame to. Equipment that is used is very old and they do not have a competent maintenance department.

Advice to Senior ManagementStart working as a team & enforcing cut offs with customer orders.

Company becoming too "Corporate" where employees are consider numbers not people.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsInternal knowledge base/support, good salaries and benefits.

ConsDo as I say not as I do management style. Employees unable to voice dissatisfaction without fear of negative repercussions.

    Good company with good people

Machine Operator (Former Employee) Indianapolis, IN

ProsThe benefits and pay is great. The work is easy as long as you have a good work ethic. The people are closeknit yet accepting of new people so its easy to fit in and feels like you're becoming part of a family.

ConsNot climate controlled so people get sick in the summer very often due to the general heat plus that generated from the thermoforming process.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
