I have been working at Sealed Air Corporation full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Training is extensive, people willing to help, good benefits, opportunities to move within company

    Cons

Too much emphasis put on mundane tasks (logging out of your phone to take a restroom break, monitoring calls, etc)

I worked at Sealed Air Corporation full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The company is an industry expert in its space and is widely respected for its offering. The company is relocating the majority of its operating facilities to the SE USA which is a major plus for anyone looking for shorter cold seasons and the hospitality of the South.

    Cons

The company was going through a M&A and restructuring at the time which made it challenging for the organization to focus on the task at hand of growing the business. The company merged its new chemical business (Diversey) with its packaging business and at the time the organization did not seem to have a strong transition plan in place for integrating the new business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring more people in from the outside to better influx the organization with talent and bench strength for future growth.

  5.

I worked at Sealed Air Corporation

    Pros

    Pay and benefits are decent.

    Cons

Horrible corporate culture, company only looks out for themself. Vacation time is well below par. Can completely turn a career of a top performer upside down based on decisions made by a low level manager.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get to know your employees so you can understand who the top performers are who can have a positive influence on the direction of your company. Get your head out of the sand and Realize you are bottom tier in terms of how you treat your employees and do something about it. Put some some real effort into meshing the corporate cultures of the companies you purchase so that they are not islands. Case in point: there could not be a wider difference between The corporate culture of SA and Cryovac, and how long have you owned them??? Rediculous.

    Pros

Internal teams generally work very well together, Strong vision for the future.

    Cons

Implementation of vision strategies rarely makes it all the way to the rank and file, Departments & Divisions still operate very much in silos.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue down the path to create the one culture. Encourage more cross division collaboration.
