Pros
Good quality products ie Craftsman, Kenmore plus all the other brand name appliances. They stand behind their products.
Cons
Have to be open on Sundays even in a smaller community where there isn't much business on a Sunday.
Advice to Senior Management
Look at ways to compete with our competitors on a more everyday basis.
Pros
I was able to be a better person than I was since they offer me alot opportunities to grow and keep on track with my personal and professional goals.
Cons
I don't know any bad things about this employer. Everything is very good in this job position. I love it.
Advice to Senior Management
keep donig the best for the people
Pros
flexible schedule
lenient dress code
decent employee discount
Cons
putting up with incompetent managers
poor professional guidance
little to no growth opportunities
Advice to Senior Management
hire from within, and stop hiring morons from other companies to run a store when the associates can practically run it themselves
Pros
Friendly staff. I think that would be it!
Cons
Training is all on the computer in the cold training room. Six hours a day for almost two weeks. All the training is done via online modules. Ridiculous!
Advice to Senior Management
Come up with a better training system.
Pros
Flexible schedule except during the holidays of course
Good hours usually
Great coworkers
company was better after Kmart bought Sears
great locations normally
Cons
Bad work culture
High Turnover
Terrible customers
Monotonous and never ending
Weird Hiring Process
chain of command is hopeless and undignified
Advice to Senior Management
If you treat good employees like dirt, they will leave and you will be stuck with people who will eventually leave anyway because they hate their job and it will make your job twice as hard to replace all of your workers
Pros
I have great team members and we work together well. Management team tries their best to be fair with scheduling issues.
Cons
The work environment can be very stressful at time. The pay isnt all that great. The customers in the area tend to be very rude
Pros
Brand Name and World Recognition
Cons
Sears requires a lot of time and does not reward or compensate for talent or competency.
Pros
associates dedicated to the store
product dependability a plus for customers
assortment in clothing has gotten better
Cons
No work life balance for management
changes in store leadership often
product not available or must be ordered
training all online/not personable
Advice to Senior Management
Interaction with new hires and management, most don't meet managers except in interview stage until they are on the floor. Communication from store associates to corporate is next to impossible.
Pros
Scheduling, dynamic and good opportunities for carreers
Cons
poor recognition, afraid the company will close soon...
Advice to Senior Management
Customer experience is key... Then the services and credits will self sell
Pros
Organized, friendly, and well structured
Cons
Not structured well for internal advancement
