I have been working at Select Rehabilitation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I work with good people. But a bit stuck in a rut.

    Cons

Persons not on-site, never met the patient/client/resident set RUG levels,.. what they use to determine this, I don't know. Lip service given to continuing education. The "Select University" is so superficial it is of not practical use. No per diem available to cover for days off.

    Advice to Management

Stop making silly rules after a single episode/incident happens.

I have been working at Select Rehabilitation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Take a job with them only if you are desperate.

    Cons

Your over worked, treated like garbage, the focus is paper work not patient care, you cannot finish in your 8 hours and they expect you to work on your time. If your seperate take the job while you look for another, quickly. They bleed you dry and expect more.

    Advice to Management

Change your ways, focus on patient care, not paper work. Treat your employees with respect and fairly. You have forgotten that you are there for the patients first, your employees secondly, without either of them YOU would not have your job.

I worked at Select Rehabilitation full-time

    Pros

none that i can think of.

    Cons

Unrealistic expectations. Productivity requirements are too high and almost encourage fraudulent activity. Worst of all, management does not care about their staff. No pay raises, bonuses, or acknowledgement.

    Advice to Management

    Take care of your employees.

I have been working at Select Rehabilitation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Rehab managers vary from site-to-site, but I have had the good fortune to have 2 exceptional managers who always strive to fight the good fight.

    Cons

Unrealistic productivity expectations (in my area, 92%, no exceptions) that promote working off the clock or encourage less-than-ethical behavior. Pay rate freeze. Expensive, yet mediocre benefits. Pressure to hold patients at highest RUG level, requiring jumping through hoops to discharge patients.

    Advice to Management

Reconsider your productivity requirements and employee compensation. Cultivate loyalty through your actions. Realize that you cannot automate the therapy process, so treat your therapists well.
