    Pros

The people I worked with were what made me come back. Some of the Doctors were good as well.

    Cons

We were understaffed but they kept bringing in the admissions. Made us move patients from room to room just to bring in admissions which had a negative impact on patient care.

    Advice to Management

Check on your staff. Make sure you have enough staff before you push admissions.

    Pros

I have been working with Select for a few years. The Select in Omaha is a beautiful hospital. The hospital had a bad reputation in the past because of previous management; however, new leadership has been assigned and the hospital is definitely moving in the right direction. The new CNO is extremely dedicated in turning the hospital around. She is kind, caring, compassionate, and highly educated. Her focus is to provide exceptional patient care by highly qualified individuals. The pay is great and the work environment is even greater. If you are a clinician who is looking to work with chronic critically ill patients in a fast paced environment that is challenging but rewarding, then this is the place for you! I highly recommended this hospital. Come check it out!!

    Cons

The negative reputation and perception in the community which isn't accurate.....

    Pros

Some of the people were great.

    Cons

The focus isn't on patient care, it's on money. The CNO was horrible (manages by threats and intimidation) then they were promoted. Understaffed and low moral - the hospital is dirty. Patients get moved around from room to room which adds to confusion for families and the patients themselves. I hope it doesn't take something horrible to happen before leadership changes or does something.

    Advice to Management

Get out on the floor and look at what's going on. Hire the right people and TRAIN THEM - don't hire from "oh my friend wants to work here"
