    Pros

Work life balance is unrivaled. People generally care about you. I have stayed at SelectHealth for so long because the people are so great to work with. If you have an issue you can express it, and management will address it.

    Cons

Benefits are average, and it's a non-profit so unless you are an actuary you won't get rich.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remember that the people are the most important part of SelectHealth

I have been working at SelectHealth full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

This company truly cares about its employees and their well being. Great events and warm atmosphere create an environment that is enjoyable to work in. Benefits are rich and pay is competitive and fair. There is a cohesive nature within the company that we are working to help benefit our members.

    Cons

Sometimes the job can be redundant but the team you work with help bring you up and make things interesting. They are still moving departments around the building here and there so there shouldn't be another move for a while.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to live the values that you teach.

    Pros

The supervisors and other bosses all care about the lower level employees and try to get to know everyone.
    Great pay and benefits.
Raises and cost of living raises.
    Great atmosphere.

    Cons

The only negative thing is the move to West Valley from Murray and no one really likes the set up of the desks and new building.

    Pros

Flexible, if you have the right manager. Friendly employees, hard to find one you don't like. Stable job.

    Cons

Very corporate. No effective planning. Pay is poor. Higher management is hired poorly and not managed. Needed software is ignored, or takes a year for it to arrive. They like to brag about JD Powers and Gallup, but the Gallup poll questions are written where any company can pass.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't worry on culture. Worry on individuals. If you can't pay more, PTO could go up a few days a year.

    Pros

Small up and coming company. Still has that "home town" feel which they truly care about their employees and development. This company rewards people with a degree, not just how many years a person has worked here. For some this would be a con but for me, having my bachelors, it isnt.

    Cons

small company - this is a pro and a con for me. while I love the fact that this company is growing leaps and bounds, it is small and positions open up a little less frequently.

The pay scale at Select health is a little low when compared to any other Health insurance company.

Work life balance is excellent and the people are very warm and helpful. The top management is very approachable. The benefits are excellent.

    Cons

U don't get rich working here. The pay needs to be considered and increased depending on the market conditions.
