    Pros

This type of work offers flexibility. It is nice not having to sit in a cubicle all day every day. Job is different every day. Rewarding to see results of work.

    Cons

IT is a twenty-four seven job. On call all day and all night. No vacations. No pay. Cranky bosses.

    Advice to Management

Be more courteous to workers. Be more respectful and offer to help once in a while.

    Pros

it's a job if you desperately need one. But before you sign the contract they give you at orientation, READ THE FINE PRINT! The health insurance is good, but you are only offered it IF you are FULL TIME and almost NO ONE gets that status. It had taken me over 5 years to be offered "full time"...

    Cons

They have an agreement with the department of labor; 20 minute paid break for a minimum 6 hour shift. Now that applies for an 8,9, and 10 hour shift. The reason for this is so that when the 2nd person on needs help ( and they always do) you HAVE to interrupt YOUR break to help ( MAJOR downside of having only 2 people at a time working, although they prefer not to see it that way) The job in and of itself is not easy, especially for the money they offer you at shop level. True, it's more than minimum wage, but when you consider the responsibilities and stress involved, it is simply no where near enough. Upper management tells you that certain things need to be done a certain way and within a certain time frame yet about 85% of them have NEVER worked at shop level. They don't understand, they only see and care about numbers and not the mental well-being of the employees. "Partners" indeed...

    Advice to Management

I don'i know how the company got around the DEPT OF LABOR but how about you start with more than 2 employees at a time so the hard working staff you have are able to ACTUALLY TAKE A BREAK and have time to collect themselves from the needy, rude, and demanding customers they are forced to deal with on a daily basis. You guys have a lot of work to do before anyone at shop level will stay for more than a couple years.
