I have been working at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Only thing good is the cheap insurance

    Cons

Liars, and cheats, creative ways to work you well over 14 days straight and through manipulation of time sheets make i seem you only worked five. The Surveillance department is the worse of them all, promises to change schedules to help you, and always saying 6 weeks.. This has been going on since February and they have yet to follow through. If you disagree with them in the slightest bit they threaten you with your job, and trap you so you can't go anywhere else but work for them. They blackmail you so you can't even go to HR unless you tell them that your going first and once that happens you have a target on your back. You can't complain about upper management to upper management since they are all drinking buddies and do everything together so your damned if you do or dont. My advice? DO NOT WORK FOR THEM, and if you do GET OUT FAST!

I have been working at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek

    Pros

With the recent expansion there have been many new jobs added, so there is more room for advancement. Most of the co-workers are pleasant to work with.

    Cons

Again, with the expansion, it appears that very little forethought was put into the general layout of the casino floor and where to put employee areas like break rooms, parking, and the extremely lacking restrooms for so many employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The happier your employees are, the happier your guests are. Weather it is meant to or not the trickle down effect from upper management shows on the floor employees and it reflects on the guests as well.

I worked at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek

    Pros

Fun, busy and fast paced environment. - never routine. Friendly co-workers & clientele. Weekly paychecks. Uniforms. Varied shifts& schedules. Discounted meals.

    Cons

Poor management & leadership starting at top trickling down to the managers. . Seriously lacking communication between management, supervisors & departments No job security. High turnover . Different rules for different supervisors. No appreciation shown. Supervisors play favorites. Leeway given to certain employees while other get fired.for same offense. Supervisors do not back their staff. No raise ($3.15 per hour) plus tips which are split. Earn PTO time - no holiday pay or sick days. Have to find someone to Cover your shift in order to take PTO day off and if you don't use them you lose them. No ventilation - smoky enviironment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate communicate communicate!!!!! Appreciate your staff especially the ones who have been there long. Provide every employee with a copy of disaplinary action & reviewsTreat ALL employees fairly - not just the ones you think are special.
