    Pros

    Great earning potential.
    Typical Sales Environment.
    Not too many chiefs.
Management or Upper level Management very accessible and keep an open door policy if you ever have any concerns or need assistance

    Cons

Typical Sales Churn and Burn hiring policy.
If you don't make money, you get a lot of pressure, no matter how well you did the month prior.
You get offend threatened with job loss in passive aggressive ways.
Just because someone's a great sales person, doesn't make them a manager or good managing people.

    Pros

Being a small company you wear many hats and learn a lot really fast. You also have a great opportunity to make significant money.

    Cons

Work/life balance can sometimes be difficult but that is the case with most jobs these days. There is also the small company culture so lots of changes are always occurring as the business grows

    Pros

Being able to get off work and attend happy hour is great and if you need to drink at lunch to ease the pain just walk to any bar and do so.

    Cons

People are in the business who have no clue what they are doing. They lie to people on the phone and do anything then can to push a deal through. Lots of things that seem to be legal trouble waiting to happen. The sales goals at the office are never reached and office spiffs are usually never achieved.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop hiring people who want to party and look for people that want to work and be with the company for a long time.

I have been working at Seneca One Finance full-time

    Pros

great people and the chance o making a lot of money

    Cons

You never really have a day off. Clients call your phone at all hours of the day and you are expected to answer no matter what. Even if it's after hours (11PM) and on weekends. Also, expect messages to continue when on vacation or sick.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a plan and stick with it. The constant changes in the company focus makes it difficult to made clear goals and achieve them

    Pros

    The money was pretty good.

    Cons

Constant turnover; both employee and culture
No clear organizational direction for the company; they fail to follow through with organizational changes
    Very quick to terminate employees
They ask for input and then if they do not like the input provided they will terminate in short order
    There is no work/life balance

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pick a management direction and follow through for more than a couple months before terminating management and starting over

    Pros

Company flew me and my fellown new hires to headquarters, and put us up at a very nice suburban Washington, D.C. hotel. We got to attend the Crhistmas party as well; all expenses were paid for by Seneca One. Impressive.

    Cons

Worked in their satellite office in Texas. Switched product on us, and then never gave us very needed marketing support for new product. Turned into a no-win situation, and sweat shop as well. I should have quit when my boss quit. I did not. Should have quit when my boss's boss quit. I did not. Shame on me for sticking it out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to think ahead and plan accordingly.

I worked at Seneca One Finance full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Free bagels on Fridays, decent Christmas party, co-workers are a fun and rowdy bunch.

    Cons

Stressful work environment, owner is pretty insane. Compensation always changes. You have to be available to clients at all hours of the day if you don't want to lose deals to competitors that price annuities better.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Positive reinforcement will get you farther than managing through fear.
