    Pros

    Good products and great people.

    Cons

Poor history of delivery and ongoing support. Products are sent to the field before they are fully tested. Customers are promised too much and receive too little.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep continually improving. Focus on customer support and delivering fully tested products and then sales will increase.

I have been working at Sensus Flavors full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great market and good market share in the utility metering business. Strategic foot hold in the "Smart" utility business.

    Cons

Much churn in the management ranks. Unclear whether the strategic vision shall be funded or the company prepped for sale or IPO.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Build the future from a structured foundation. Provide a better communication & process framework -- we're not a small company anymore.

I worked at Sensus Flavors full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I was given a lot of creative freedom and worked independently majority of the time.

    Cons

The requirements were not always the clearest when writing software to aide in quality assurance. This also made tracking progress a bit difficult.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would suggest having a more formalized way of gathering, tracking, and documenting documents which will also lead to a better way of tracking progress.

I have been working at Sensus Flavors

    Pros

9-5 job, no ridiculous HR programs forced down your throat.

    Cons

Like another reviewer stated, management does not communicate from the top down. Youi never know where the company is headed so you don't feel like you are a part of it. Also, they do not hire the best people into management. I say this having worked in Fortune 500 for many years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Communicate!!!

I have been working at Sensus Flavors

    Pros

    - They are in a strong growth market
    - Good benefits and initial compensation
    - Interesting RF network technology
    - They are trying to pay their bills to avoid embarassing calls from vendors looking for payment

    Cons

    - Always short of resources and always late to market.
    - Employees expected to sacrifice family and life for revenue.
    - Bonuses are a fantasy few ever see - don't count on it!
    - It appears people who rub any management wrong just disappear from their jobs.
    - Every expense needs to be pre-approved and re-approved by "senior" management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop the harvesting of the market and company to feather the nests of the Holding Company, and begin to invest for the sake of the company and employees.

I have been working at Sensus Flavors

    Pros

Salaries are very competitive. Benefits are good.

    Cons

Everyone is overworked, testy and unwilling/unable to lend help.. There is no camaraderie or socializing, only hard work and stress. There is no recognition for your contribution, only increasing work load. There is no internal growth. Management is brought in from outside.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Staff properly and begin to treat your employees as people, not cattle. Stop letting Sales drive product development through their over-commitment.

    Great place to work

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee in Raleigh, NC

I have been working at Sensus Flavors

    Pros

Sensus is an exciting place to work. Management generally has reasonable expectations of work life vs. personal life. The company has amazing technology and is working hard to understand how to more effectively place it into the market.

    Cons

Real, core business issues are not well communicated downward. Better involvement with core issues and action plans driven from the C-suite would pay big dividends for the business. Senior staff tends to be analytical, quiet, somewhat reserved.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate the business strategy to all employees as appropriate so that all have a stake in the outcome.
