ProsFast paced, fun environment. The holidays (christmas/new years) are absolutely insane! We had lines through the door...must be outgoing and patient. Must understand basic makeup and skin care to thrive. I got $10.25 per hour there are bonuses but seasonal ppl dont really get them

ConsHours are not flexible and they have to completely search and empty out everyones purse to leave for any reason at any time even to get a starbucks in the mall. They can be catty and stuck up also.

Advice to Senior ManagementMake hours flexible and be less stuck up

Best place I've ever worked.

Pros- Free make up (alllll the time)
- Amazing people to work with
- Great place to make professional contacts
- Fantastic training
- Good team environment
- Store discount

Cons- Pay is average if you're just starting out
- Even if you're not standing around doing nothing, management are very focused on you 'looking' busy - even if there's nothing to do/no customers
- When I quit, I was nothing to management any more, even though they were super lovely to me before

ProsEveryone is awesome! Best group of managers (i.e., Leadership) you could work for. It really feels like a second home. We bonus quite often so you see a little extra on your paychecks. Receiving gratis is exciting!

I have been working at Sephora part-time for more than a year

ProsThe pay is better than a lot of retail jobs. The employee discount and gratis (free products provided by brands when you train with them) are awesome. Also, the level of education is amazing-you've got potential to travel to cities like New York and San Francisco for training. Even local in-store training is innovative and it's great to always have new products coming though the doors. The level of client service is excellent even as an employee making a purchase and the people I work with are my second family. For the most part, the people I work with are happy with their jobs.

ConsNot enough hours to go around for part-time cast members. Also, the application process of applying for a promotion is very lengthy and involves several interviews.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease streamline the interview process-employees can feel like they are getting lost in the details when interviews are repeatedly postponed and rescheduled.
