I have been working at Sequenom full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Hours are good if you set boundaries and stick to them-other wise they will take advantage of your time. Lots of free food.

    Cons

Management is severely lacking interpersonal relationship skills. Employees are not recognized for their accomplishments within the company. The overall moral is grim and fading.

    Advice to Management

Send your managers to management classes that teach them how to positively encourage their employees to succeed.

    I worked at Sequenom full-time

    Pros

Great science. Really, genuinely nice people to work with in all departments. Benefits are solid and salaries tend to be on the high side. Location is easy to commute to.

    Cons

Promotions are hard to come by. People management is not a priority for the company, and some managers have very poor people skills. No 401(k) match.

    Advice to Management

Get a vision and communicate it.
