Pros
Work -life balance, first class support system, transparent management.
Cons
Salaries are much lower compared to other Financial institutions. I know Servus is much smaller compared to the "BIG 5" but hey, if I'm doing the same job as my colleagues over there why can't I get paid a similar salary? I understand a 10-20% difference but 40-60%, now c'mmon!!
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up with the good work, try harder to make sure the world knows what a fantastic place Servus is & please make your compensation more competitive cos u have some of the most dedicated people out there.
Pros
-learn about the industry in general
-long time employees are great and offer amazing support and insight
-good benefits package
Cons
-attempted standardization of selling style throughout entire organization, sales becoming #1 priority over everything else, trying to adopt big bank mentality
-different banking platforms makes business processes inefficient thereby compromising member service
-work/life balance becoming less of a priority for frontline employees
-constant pressure to sell without providing adequate opportunities to develop product knowledge to do so
Advice to Senior Management
Slow things down and give employees an adjustment period to adapt and embrace changes instead of expecting instant results overnight. Review change implementation strategy to reduce strain on staff.
Pros
Great benefits and job security. Strong mission statment focused on serving our clients and providing all their financial needs. Employee elected business values
Cons
3-way merger causing delays in getting everyone on one computer platform which makes providing great service to our clients very slow & cumbersome
Advice to Senior Management
Too much focus for bottom line results rather than following our mission statement and values
