Frustrated at how much time was spent on items that do not sell and not listening to their managers and franchisees.

    General Manager (Former Employee)
    Tampa, FL

ProsVery fast paced, some very good food products for the average consumer good consumer recognition.

ConsLack of spending on capital needs inside as well as out. A lack of proper and efficient food sevice layout, as well as, attention to food service sanitation needs ie. sinks and stainless food surfaces.

Advice to Senior ManagementDo time and motion studies to assess proper labor needs in the food area in particular. Look for people in food service field for advice. Need better execution and quality control in the commissary ie. downsize the bread ( lower carbs ) keep the amount of filling, equals better perceived value.

    Standard Retail Job

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Philadelphia, PA

Pros- A good job if you seek minimal responsibilities, and don't have a work history.
     - Fairly flexible scheduling.
     - Coworkers are usually friendly.

Cons- Opportunity for advancement is only contingent on time spent there. It takes years to reach "Assistant Management" status.
     - No room for growth after you learn everything.
     - It's exactly what you'd expect from a retail job.
     - Raises are minimal (~25 cents) and on a set schedule (>1yr).

Advice to Senior ManagementBe more willing to train candidates for better positions, regardless of how long they've been there. I'm not sure how else you can make retail more interesting.
