Current Employee – been working at Shane's Rib Shack

Pros – The working environment is always welcoming and relaxed. We appreciate our customers and thus, act as so. And in return, they come back and bring friends and family as well as use our catering service to further spread the word. My co-workers are really cool and my boss is hilarious!

Cons – You start at minimum wage, which is inconvenient when you really need to make more money. Also, as cashier I deal mainly with customers and as we are located in a mall, it is much more up close, so when I get the occasionally rude customer, it's very dissatisfying.

Advice to Senior Management – YOUR DOING GREAT!!!!

Pros – Units are easy to operate. Not a lot of training is involved for new employees.

Cons – Some of the BC's had no previous restaurant experience.

Advice to Senior Management – Get true restaurant professionals on staff, not your friends.

Can be messy at times
Get blamed for things that are not your job (ex. your a cashier, food is taking long, but you get blamed)

Pros – Shanes is a great atmosphere for students looking for a part time job or anyone seeking a full time position. The food is great which makes the customers easy to work with.

Cons – I'd say the worst part about working at Shanes would have to be the time I left to start a different career path.

Advice to Senior Management – Keep doing a good job and keep making the customers happy.

Pros – Hours are up to you. Same goes with time off. Work as much as your want, or as little as you want. There is room to always grow, since you can request more responsibility if you think you can handle it. Great place to make money for college.

Cons – Managers are typically bad with HR related tasks. Hiring, firing, promoting.

Advice to Senior Management – Hire good people when they are needed. Fire people, rather than removing hours or neglecting them.

Cons – the shift times were poor and till late night
