    Advice to Management

    Pros

Tips were good. Always someone willing to give up a shift or leave early when someone needed more hours.

    Cons

Some of those that they put in to management are there simply because they were the only one willing to accept the job.

    Advice to Management

Stop requiring that servers harass their customers to fill out reviews on their visit.

    Pros

If your are a GM there is great money, flexible hours

    Cons

Everyone else is a drain on profits, not the reason for profits. they make sure you feel it, too. Very poor training. Training stores missing materials, no follow-up or show of care by home store manager.

    Advice to Management

Don't make promises to candidates about the future you do not intend to keep.

    Pros

Job depends on management. Management at this store was organized and helpful. If you stay for long enough, you'll probably get promoted to waitstaff. Performance really depends on how well you communicate with others.

    Cons

Hostess hours are inflexible and you have to almost be on call. Tips only get distributed to hosts/hostesses if the establishment was really busy. If the store is well-staffed, you will likely not get many hours.

    Advice to Management

Please dedicate more time to training hosts/hostesses. Knowning the menu should be mandatory because they have to take phone orders and know how to navigate the POS system for that. I wish I got more training before starting this job.

    Pros

Great brand name and breakfast served 24 hours a day. What could be better? Also Sharis loves to take care of its employees.

    Cons

A systematic problem is that only two managers cover an entire day. So if one misses a shift then it puts a lot of pressure on everyone else.

    Advice to Management

A more proactive menu. New flavors of soups and salads like Panera Bread and Applebee's does. When change outside of the restaurant happens faster than change on the inside companies fail - Fundamentals.

    Pros

Work with hard working co-workers. extensive menu.

    Cons

Cant work more than 29 hours a week. Cant charge a automatic gratuity on parties with 8 people or more. Give servers holiday pay too. There is no recognition from corporate to restaurant staff. If you make the management mad you get your hours cut! No bussers or hostess, so servers have to do it all.

    Advice to Management

Make employees be accountable for no call no shows. Get rid of the people who aren't working up to the standards of their job. Dont be understaffed. Dont run out of products constantly.

    Pros

You learn valuable skills. Managers here must do everything.

    Cons

Salary and 401k could be better. Hours are long and you work every holiday. This is not a surprise to us. They tell you when hired. However, after ten years it gets tiring.

    Advice to Management

    Bring back the family feeling.
