Policy of solely contact hire leaves workers with no chance of permanent hire even though constantly baited with this promise

Current Employee - Information Management Specialist in Calgary, AB (Canada)

    Pros

Learning about how such a massive company does business, and how their information flows. It's almost like being part of a government. Every decision is methodical, and passes through many gates. As an information manager, it's a unique opportunity to see how such a company functions.

    Cons

you can feel lost in the shuffle, the corporate culture is quite formal and dry. Hard to make connections and friends in this organization.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Peter Voser, former CEO said it best. We must drive out the complexity of the business. The processes are confusing, overlapping and needlessly complex... and therefore expensive and inefficient.
