I worked at Shenandoah University full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The faculty at SU are very equipped to help in planning your success for the future as long as you put in the effort to want to work and plan with them.

    Cons

If you don't speak up, take initiatives, schedule one-on-ones with your professors then you will easily get lost. I've noticed that unless you aim to be seen and noticed by the staff then you will fly under the radar and graduate with little progress for the future.

    I worked at Shenandoah University

    Pros

Not for profits, stable and slow to changes college in a valley. Enjoy small communities only 2 hours drive to Washington D.C metropolitan.

    Cons

Head heavy organization with titles everywhere. Difficult to maneuvre and bring changes to this organization. Abusive management is allowed due to silo culture.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cut down management positions that are not productive. Recruit, promote and drive quality incentive to employee at operational level. Apply 360 degree staff performance matrix.
