    Pros

Large company with lots of chances to be transfered to far off places if you want to be away from friends and family.

    Cons

The Wall Mart of the paint business. Very little to no benefits for the employees that do the majority of the work(The bottom rung).

    Advice to Management

When you are out there in the world gobbling up your competition you might just look at the employees that you just purchased . Before you dump them they just might have a little more knowledge then your own.

    Pros

Friendly, knowledgable, sales people. Quality products.

    Cons

The point of purchase terminals are, fittingly, POS. Can't tell you how many screwed up orders I've seen because of this. It's time to move to the cloud Sherwin.

    Advice to Management

    Upgrade your POS system.

    Pros

Job security, opportunity for advancement, benefits are among the best in the industry. Time off is relatively easy to get when needed. SW is generally receptive to new ideas and continually updates its systems and processes.

    Cons

Very large corporation - so rules and regulations are very general and can be frustrating to work around in certain circumstances.

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to take some finacial risk in helping stores succeed. Cutbacks are understandable in this current climate - but be aware of customer needs. Wait in line or go to the competition? Think about more Sales Reps instead of fewer. Go after their customers!
