I have been working at Shoe Metro full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours, respectful co-workers, fun company lunches about once a quarter. The annual holiday party is always a lot of fun. 401k plan is pretty good. Time-off policies are pretty standard. Wages are decent, depending on the position you have. The CEO and President are both very nice down to earth guys.

    Cons

3 different locations, 2 in San Diego and 1 in Tennessee makes it somewhat of a challenge to get everyone on the same page with procedures.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get TN and SD on the same page with all the procedures.

I have been working at Shoe Metro

    Pros

Small company that provides a an environment that is friendly and personal. Supervisors are usually easy to talk to and fair.

    Cons

Workload can be too demanding. Lots of unexpected tasks thrown at you and sometimes poor guidance in how to handle them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better communication with your employees will improve overall satisfaction and turnover rate. Also, more communication between departments would benefit everyone.
