Pros
Pay every week, good benifits
Cons
Hours cut really bad everyone complaining about hours
Pros
Pay and they respect your personal life.
Cons
Senior management and employee management is disorganized and unprofessional.
Advice to Senior Management
Much work needs to be done and it starts with the ownership group.
Pros
Easy work.
Decent employees.
Good management.
Average pay (if you can call that a "pro").
Cons
You're on your feet a lot.
You don't get paid much for the amount of nonsense you put up with.
"Favorites" is played.
Advice to Senior Management
Offer more hours and better pay.
Pros
Friendly co workers, easy parking
Cons
customers very demanding, insurance issues
Advice to Senior Management
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Pros
Could buy grocerys after work. Lots of hot woman to talk to, was a fun place to work, work wasn't hard.
Cons
Union pay sale isn't fair to new employee's, Only worth working there if you have been there before the newer contracts.
Advice to Senior Management
Pay/raises should be based on performace, not by how long you have been there. Time on the job was the only thing that mattered.
Pros
There is not one reason I can think of to work here. Not one. Perhaps if you live near by and are totally desperate and don't mind having your dignity destroyed you might be interested.
Cons
Shop 'n Slave is a more appropriate name for this store. The management treats its employees like slave labour and as such pays them slave wages, yet expects them to be happy and thankful for their pitiful wages and no discount or any other benefits. The management yells/screams at employees in front of customers to humiliate them. I watched week after week as perfectly descent employees quit out of sheer frustration at being treated like cattle. This is the most despicable place I have ever had the misfortune of working at.
Advice to Senior Management
You can begin by treating your employees like human beings. Fire any manager that relishes humiliating employees in front of customers for trivial infractions which exist solely in the managers imaginations.
Pros
Was a job to earn a wage albeit a minmum wage. Felt like a safe work environment. Most employees seemed to get alone with one another.
Cons
Very uncaring team of "management." Had values which seemed better suited to the 50s in terms of gender equity and age intelligence. The owner seemed rather stingy in terms of paying and treating the employees.
Advice to Senior Management
More "liberal" so to speak in terms of social equity and a more caring and communicative environment for all employees. Happy workers = more laborious, efficient workers.
Pros
Time is given off when needed for vacations or other events. They are very flexible when it comes to this, but this one of the few areas I would say they rate well in.
Cons
Unequal treatment of employees by managers.
Poor/unfair scheduling.
Incompetent mangers.
Bad attitude of some managers.
LOW pay for work done.
Nearly the same rate of pay for everyone, no matter how difficult the job is.
Advice to Senior Management
Actually solve the problems instead of just making a temporary fix that needs to be re-done every week. SCHEDULE BETTER.
Pros
Benefits, 401K with employer matching, paid vacation and holidays. It can be a very busy job, days usually do not drag. Casual wear, never have to buy clothes for this job!
Cons
Coworkers are extrememly rude, frustrating, and lack common sense. Holidays and weekends are ruined by working here.
Advice to Senior Management
Treat your employees like adults they just may act like adults then.
