Pros
I don't recognize the company described by VP's and management types on this site. But as a worker in the trenches, maybe I'm just isolated from anything that happens in the upper echelon. I practically never run into the owner.
Friendly, competent people
Good work/life balance
Management is very thoughtful of employees (even the CEO is very approachable)
Some projects are managed very competently
Cons
Some projects are managed with a counterproductive focus on the short term or with unclear leadership. Occasionally schedules are mandated by management without regard to technical considerations.
Pros
Cool building, cool industry, some of the best co-workers you will find. Global companny with strong brand recognition in its industry.
Cons
Weak leader at the top, "old guard" not open to new people and new ways of doing business. High turnover in top management.
Pros
Shure is a fun place to work making innovative wireless products. Friendly hard working employees . If you are a musician its a good place to work.
Cons
Need to pay competitive salaries. Pays below average than other companies with similar financial standings. Need a better vacation package.
Advice to Senior Management
IT dept needs to plan better. It lacks proper infrastructure for a company in Shure's position. Need to be positive
Pros
It is very easy to communicate with team members and management. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help each other out to get the task at hand done.
Cons
Since I am a contractor at Shure, the pay is not too good. Sometimes they keep unreasonable deadlines for projects.

Sometimes decisions that are made because they are good for the future of the company shouldn't be revisited because one or two people don't agree.
