Flight Attendant (Current Employee) Chicago, IL

ProsI'm truly living my dream as a Flight Attendant.

ConsThe management cares nothing about the people.

Advice to Senior ManagementShow a little compassion and appreciation every once in a while to the WHOLE team not just a few of the select people.

    Horrible!

Flight Attendant (Current Employee) Columbus, OH

ProsNot really many pros; if you love to travel, you have many airlines you can jump seat on; even then it's hard to get on, you go to the bottom of the standby list.

ConsThis company is a subsidiary of Republic Airways... If you don't have any bills, or don't like food; or don't have a mortgage/rent payment, this job is right for you!! You make 15-20k..this is my 3rd year and I barely make 20k. Have fun sitting at the airport for hours on end, because when weather hits the fan, all hell breaks loose. Contract sucks, no cacellation pay. Honeslty, quite miserable experience ...Overall morale sucks.

Advice to Senior ManagementEverything!! Take an ethics class, especially.

I saw a lot of change while I worked here.

ProsThe main thing that I liked was the fact that they have good flight benefits.

    ConsVery high turn over rate.

    Is Zero Stars an Option?

Flight Attendant (Current Employee) Chicago, IL

ProsObviously it is an airline so there are flight benefits, however, they all come with a cost.

ConsManagement is a joke and a half. Received a demerit for having a baby, no lie. Also, no maternity leave. FA union is also a JOKE. The Pilots have have a little bit better. Scheduling is also horrid but all airline employees say that :-)

Advice to Senior ManagementSouthwest says their employees are an asset. Just saying.

    Run far away and fast!

Flight Attendant (Current Employee) Indianapolis, IN

ProsFlight benefits on Delta and United.

ConsSupervisors have little experience and no education!

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to your employees. Communication is listening and speaking. All supervisors do is speak and always negatively. They never communicate any praise or encouragement.

    Unfullfilled Expectations!!!!!!

    First Officer (Current Employee)

ProsMultiple flight benefits are the best benefit. Free benefits for you and your spouse and kids, payment for parents on delta. Small pay for you, your spouse, and kids for United. Free for Frontier.

Conslow pay, no contract, poor management, terrible work rules, managment doesn't relate to the working class. This is the job for you to get some experience and get a good start. But be prepared to be so broke you may live with your parents and be fairly disgruntled until you get the chance to upgrade, which may take over 5 years....

Advice to Senior ManagementMore involvement and pay and support
