    Pros

They don't have any training time, but they give you time to adapt and learn by yourself all about company process.

    Cons

They are small company with small research area.
Environment are not the best, they don't want to share what they know. All has a secret recipe and just a few person knows about what they are doing.

I have been working at Sid Richardson Carbon & Energy full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The pay/benefits are good, and the life-insurance could come in handy . . . for your family.

    Cons

Safety and environmental responsibility is non-existent with this company. The main structure at the Borger plant is, and has been for a very long time, slowly corroding away due to the black and by-products of its manufacture. People have fallen through the grating at this place, but management covers it up the best they can when someone actually gets hurt, and fire people who complain.

The carbon black is everywhere, feet thick at some points (by the rail road tracks), causing corrosion of metal and possibly cancer to the employees who breathe it in (and are covered head-to-toe) every work day. I once saw a cloud of black released that considerably shaded the sun over a large part of the place -- this company has no care for the environment nor their employees. If you are starving, I can understand considering working here, but otherwise I would stay away. Hopefully, someday, a non-corrupt/inept regulatory agency (not OSHA, apparently) will shut this place down, hopefully before someone dies a painful death.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit covering things up for the executives and try to fix things. Those above you will just sell you out when regulatory action is finally taken on this company, and you could wind up in jail.

    Pros

Benefits that's all I can say that's good.

    Cons

Someone is going to get hurt. Well they have that every week anyway. But they don't won't you to get any meds because they don't want it reported. They cover up everything from all the stuff they are blowing into the air to the people that they are hurting.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get there fast. But remember when you tell them you are on your way they get ready. And they hire people and use them so they don't have to hire contractors then get rid of them fast before they see all the bad things. Please help. The town is in danger.
