Cons
The cons are that sometimes you need to stay too long for working and they dont really pay you well for the ame
Advice to Senior Management
I would say that you need to do everything in s structured way, be systematic, be diligent, be polite and be honest in your work and then you shall succeed
Pros
- Big company. Big opportunities.
Cons
- There should be more emphasis on developing employees' leadership skills
Pros
-- Great work environment
-- provides job stability but low on salary and bonuses
-- lots of opportunities
-- work life balance
Cons
- Too much of German management.
- Incompetent Managers with no people skills
- Partial
- Low Bonuses and raises
Advice to Senior Management
Stop promoting people that have strong technical backgrounds and putting them in management positions as they have no people skills
Pros
Good compensation when you are going on a trip.Offer flexible working hours
Cons
work until 10pm if the project deadline is near. The whole office is working till that late, early is not possible
Advice to Senior Management
Management is pretty good. If it could have more people to work, each one's work will be fine
Pros
Great International Name
Good Salary and Bonuses
Flexibility in work environment
Good Benefits
Cons
Very bad management
High level of Politics
High turn over and reduction of work force while increasing work on remaining force
High level of Corporate arrogance and hypocrisy
Stressful Pattern of travel
No opportunity of growing and accordingly low morale among employees
no respect to customers
no respect to employees
Advice to Senior Management
Give up your arrogance one day you may be at the door too. We have seen some examples unless coming from Europe of course
Pros
i think that everyone has a personal growth potential at Siemens. Also, the work and life balance is very good
Cons
The company is very big and because of that there can be a lot of bureaucracy which makes things more complicated
Pros
Name known internationally.
Sometimes you get international exposure.
R&D department receives a lot of money from Germany.
Cons
At the Monterrey Factory, the current local management team is comprised of unqualified individuals. Starting from the General Manager, down to the R&D, HR, Quality, and Production Managers. It seems like these guys obtained their current positions because there was no one else when the positions were required. This is the same case for team leaders. The worst part is that these "leaders" don't take into consideration the feedback given by the employees.
High turnover: In the R&D Department, at least one person quits every month. In the last 4 months I've seen 5 people go to other companies and many more are looking to do so as well. There is no clear vision of career development. Bonuses are given "mysteriously" only to some employees.
The compensation plan is not what you would expect for a company like Siemens. Bureaucracy abounds, as the company has acquired the local (Mexican) way of doing things, instead of implementing the German way.
Assembly line workers are treated very badly.
HR team is a joke. Don't be surprised if you suddenly receive less money on your paycheck or if you are charged for random things.
Advice to Senior Management
Managers that do not want feedback are like an open loop control system. They will think they were doing fine job controlling their teams, until someday it will be too late to fix the mess they created.
Germany should do a serious intervention on the Monterrey Factory!
Pros
very flexible
abroad oppurtuninty is very good
a very good reputation
Cons
personal growth is slow....but if you are tallented then you can do better
Advice to Senior Management
employee are given less than average..so please increase their payscale.
Pros
Good hiring process. I had ll the resources at my disposal that I needed to get my stuff done. All very new equipment and state-of-the-art equipment. Having 2 on-site cafeterias was also a nice plus, along with direct U-bahn access.
Cons
The biggest con I had was the sluggishness with which decisions were made. I had 3 'bosses' trying to make decisions on how to take the project, resulting in not much useful getting done during my 6-month internship.
Pros
Good people
Good products
Good healthy work culture
Comparable package and benefits
Cons
slow growth
lot of hierarchy
rigid structure and less flexibility
No motivation for innovation in day to day work
lack of coordination between departments
Advice to Senior Management
Please break the silos
People are really nice but fail to understand decisions as no one conveys the thinking behind the decisions.
