    Pros

Benefits are great, plus this company strives to allow for greater work-life balance; plenty of opportunities for professional training; listen to employees needs; open door policy for the most part; great resources available for professional and personal growth

    Cons

Not too many opportunities for growth; cost-out initiatives are pushed really hard at times resulting in losing value in other areas. Management consist of "good-ol' boys" club and not enough fresh ideas and new faces

    Advice to Management

Provide more opportunities to up-coming young generation; connect better with other departments and strive for better cohesiveness in work place.

Some of management is awful, need training to manage team and understand the work behind their employees in their department to better advise

    Advice to Management

Payscale should be aimed at oil and gas wages

    Pros

Working for one of the world's greatest global organizations with a long history of success and technological innovation.

    Cons

Far from an agile organization. Deep levels of corporate bureaucracy to navigate to get anything done. Need to choose to have a career at Siemens and utilizing the Siemens way to get things done vs. a career in a particular industry.

    Advice to Management

Eliminate the suffocating lack of innovation due to corporate bureaucracy.

    Pros

Worked in the operations management department in houston tx. Very friendly people, some office politics as usual. Pretty diverse ethnically in non engineering roles. Difficult projects given right off the bat/ really encourages professional growth. Choose your own work schedule within reason. No one watching what time you come in, etc. Recent graduate engineers put into middle management role immediately.

    Cons

Not a clear picture on how to get full time position after internship. Older senior management against working from home, while younger managers don't mind as long as job is done. Good work/life in office only. Technicians work hard hours with strenuous physical labour and not always the right tools they need. Pay is around 10% below market. Upper management doesn't really DO anything per se, except grind out work from lower employees

    Advice to Management

Give interns a clear understanding to full time position opportunities

    Cons

Management changed three times in three years. One would be very by the book and the next would be all over the place, inconsistent directions

    Advice to Management

Talk to the people that do the work

    Pros

Many good people who are willing to help you learn and are always learning themselves. Great diverse culture.

    Cons

Understaffing and poor management planning affect those below. A culture of blame can develop when a few do the work of many and others coast along.

    Advice to Management

Plan for the future! Don't depend on fire fighting to get your bonus!
