    Pros

The company was well known in the industry so entrance to outside companies to arrange visits was easy. Compensation was adequate.

    Cons

The company is so big that resolution of any personal questions was difficult as everything with Human Relations had to be done on the phone or computer.

    Advice to Management

Being let go from the company for reasons that I had no control over was very discouraging and definitely gave me a very negative view of the company.

    Pros

nothing great to mention as the business is colapsing majestically, however the people in India were quite warm despite their most lethargic behaviour

    Cons

    Worst coordination
They can dishonour the offer anytime if the manager's position is at stake

    Advice to Management

Get a nice fresh mind to consult your conglomerate to perform better in the market

    Pros

-Some harsh but valuable lessons into the darker side of the corporate world and human nature in general

    Cons

-Nepotism and old boys club, no growth opportunities unless you are in this group, if you are not a white male who can schmooze and booze with the best of them then forget it
-Office politics and toxic work environment - brown nosing is the order of the day
-Workplace bullying and sidelining of those that don't fit in the mould (extroverted white alpha males)
-Management run the place like a dictatorship and HR side with them
-Lack of unity and collaboration between departments, no lateral mobility
-Computer systems (e.g. online leave management system) cumbersome and inefficient to use
-No transparency in job conditions - lots of long term travel and unpaid overtime required, this was not disclosed when accepting the job, also salaries should reflect these inconveniences but are far from it
-No work life balance due to long working hours and long term travel at short notice

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like human beings instead of trashing them and using management positions just to prop up your own egos. Or better still just retire already and make way for managers that are more positive and affirming

    Pros

Was a good place to work in the past. Nice people and nice facility. Flexible work hours. Strong engineering. Good organization.

    Cons

No future business/work. Cutting anything and everything and no investment in new programs. Having people sit idling instead of working on R&D projects. Division is being sold off.

    Advice to Management

    No market insight/vision.

    Pros

    Very good benefits.
    Great co-workers.
You do not need too much knowledge to start.

    Cons

Never got any good/bad feedback from seniors.
    Hardly see any promotions.
Upward mobility is very slow or does not exist at all for most employee.
Very little/ No communication between upper management and Engineers.

    Advice to Management

Instead of hiring people in the upper management positions try to give promotions to people working in your office. This brings enthusiasm to the rest of the people working in the office.

    Pros

    Good pay and decent Benefits

    Cons

Promotion depends on brown nosing skills, not technical knowledge
Red tape and more red tape
Thanks to the bribery scandal, every employee is now treated like a crook
    Profit is all that matters
    Little cooperation between divisions

    Advice to Management

It is unfair to treat all employees like crooks because of past management corruption.

    Pros

The pay is actually decent, but what you go through at Siemens it is not worth it.

    Cons

Senior Management encourages backstabbing and even sues its own employees that they dislike. They have no clue as to what they are doing. A lot of arrogant people work at Siemens, especially upper management. I see them (postal automation group) going out of business or being sold off in the near future.

    Advice to Management

Please do something about postal automation's senior management.
