Current Employee – been working at Siemens Medical full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Large stable organization with excellent leadership at the corporate level.
Cons – Organizational structure does not lend itself well to collaboration within the corporation. Despite attempts by several CEOs the Silos are as strong as ever.
Advice to Senior Management – Managers can be most effective by identifying the obstacles to task accomplishment encountered by subordinates and then assisting them in overcoming or removing said obstacle whenever possible.

Current Employee – been working at Siemens Medical full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – There is a very smart and dedicated team of employees that works for Siemens Medical Solutions. It is easy to see the level of passion and commitment they have to living the mission of finding solutions to improve human health.
Cons – There are too many 'chiefs.' Every business unit has a CEO, geographies have a CEO - it's crazy! Once you get in, great. But there is little movement from within. Also, it is all about the numbers instead of applying common sense to a situation.
Advice to Senior Management – You have an obligation to develop and retain internal talent. Siemens is at risk of losing many good people because your hiring managers look for the easy fix instead of devoting time to developing an internal employee. You must change this culture! Also, it would bode well to streamline management, have less 'chiefs' but hold people more accountable for the decisions made within the company.

Current Employee – been working at Siemens Medical full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – The company is big enough that if you are unhappy in your role or with your manager you can switch.
Cons – If you want to apply for a new role executive approval is needed for a raise higher than 15%.
Advice to Senior Management – Ugh where do I begin?
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Siemens Medical full-time
Pros – Still the best in technology in medical domain, better and stronger than Philips, especially GE in Innovation!
Cons – There are a lot of middle level managers useless and ready to take advantages on employees. There is no much leaderhip in local management. Credits can be taken by managers or some senior colleagues. Collaboration internal and external is a big issue. Employee satisfication rate is low!

Former Employee – worked at Siemens Medical as an intern
Pros – My group was really nice and friendly, and they seemed like a company people stayed at for a long period of time/there were a lot of people who worked there a while.
Cons – They had no idea what to do with interns. I was stuck on a software team never having really done low level programming in my life (and I had told them that before...). There were so many periods where I just didn't have anything to do and kept asking for things, and was really bored.
Advice to Senior Management – Too much paperwork and bureaucracy!

(2) Broad portfolio of products
(3) Excellent career development opportunities and support from executive management for those who produce the results
(4) Encourage international assignments
(5) Great management
(6) Excellent culture
Cons – (1) Large size obviously means decisions /actions can take time
Advice to Senior Management – Continue to invest in your people

Current Employee – been working at Siemens Medical full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Thankful to have a steady, albeit small, income with some benefits.
Cons – Management is patting themselves on the back about the big profits this year which meant big bonuses for the upper echelon, but more austerity measures for everyone else. If you're not German, male, and white, you won't get very far despite the management rhetoric about diversity. People are working hard long hours and pay is not increasing with the rising cost of living.
Advice to Senior Management – One size does not fit all. Stop the merging already! Quality is being sacrificed for short-sighted profits. Our customers are moving to our competitors because of the low quality of our products, high prices, and our poorly trained, spread thin services.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
