I have been working at Siemens as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Management is flexible and understanding. Casual Fridays with free breakfast. Ability to work from home 1 or 2 days a week, depending on the department. Hours are flexible as well, but the level of flexibility depends on your manager.

    Cons

There doesn't seem to be much of a possibility to move up in the company. Each department has a set head count which is low. From what I know, the only way to advance your position in the company is to actively seek openings in other Siemens companies since openings do not seem to be common.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Siemens full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Challenging assignments with experienced personnel .

    Cons

Too large of a company where a respone to whatever your request, is virtually non-existent if it happens at all.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have more on-site qualified support/supervisor personnel. Less reliance on Siemens HQ in Germany which creates bottlenecks and handcuffs it's employees performance.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

Former Employee - Project Manager in Alpharetta, GA

I worked at Siemens full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

friendly co workers and hard working staff, best group of people I've ever worked with except mgt is very hands off and taught to not care about people at all

    Cons

not family friendly, mgt hold grudges if you need to be off for sick kids or family, won't support working from home so must use vacation when sick or taking care of a sick child when you could work from home and not contaminate the whole office

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

don't micromanage and share the weath

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Siemens

    Pros

Nice people, cutting edge research and the opportunities to get onboard in a variety of projects in fields like healthcare, industry and productivity softwares. Softball team is a plus!

    Cons

Really there isn't any noticeable cons for this job. To be very picky, maybe some of the projects are so big that can last for years, and being an intern means you cannot be involved in every stage.
