    The employees truly care.

I have been working at Signature HealthCARE

    Pros

The employees and nurses truly care for the client in the facility and it shows by the relationships that they build with them.

    Cons

The only challenges are the typical challenges that any nursing home or recovery facility would experience. No additional challenges that I know of.

I have been working at Signature HealthCARE full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The insurance is better than some, but not great.

    Cons

Where do I start? Signature took over the building back in 2013, and for a while it seemed it would be tolerable, but then the permanent management team took over and it all went to hell. Management doesn't give a damn about their employees, they are merely human capital for them to manage. If you quit, oh well, they'll find someone else to fill the position. People have been fired for daring to call corporate to complain about their incompetence, residents can call BS complaints on the staff and they are automatically terminated without even investigating. Staff have been forced to come in to work with high fevers and communicable illnesses, and when they try to call in they are forced to choose between not infecting everyone in the building, or quitting. Of course, if you're part of the clique, you can get away with whatever you want, as long as you hang out with them and party with them after hours... everyone else is just there and you get no kudos, no praise, no job well done, nothing but signs all over the place with "mandatory", "you are required", "disciplinary action up to and including termination", etc. Either corporate is aware of how this place is operated, and they agree, which makes them hypocrites, or they have no idea that this is going on, which makes them inattentive and incompetent. The morale of the rank and file employees is pretty much nonexistent, and anyone who has the opportunity is leaving, some even before they have other jobs to go to. It's that bad.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wake up and treat your "Stakeholders" like humans, and not like bots. "Stakeholders" is a joke; we have no stake in how the place is run and it shows.

I have been working at Signature HealthCARE part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

I am a new PRN SLP at this facility with less than a week's experience at this facility.Therapy staff is professional, supportive, friendly. Orientation is good and on going. In-service support for documentation was available and welcomed. The facility is clean, attractive with a resident dog.. Add pluses for that.

    Cons

Company values are professional and supportive. It appears to be an excellent place for both PRN and possible full time work.

    Pros

I Love our 3 Pillars: Learning; Spirituality and Intra-preneurship! Each add a whole new dimension to long-term care! Also, we LOVE our elders - we host amazing events like - Trips to the Beach, Disney, Boston, Branson - and see people live out their dreams - like parasailing. Also, we host annual Senior Olympics, Hall of Fame event and Reflect-N-Us art shows!

    Cons

The industry is challenging but the rewards are worth it! It is a place where you will never be bored - so get ready for a challenging, but fun ride!

    Pros

The patients were the best aspect. Loved workng with them. There were some great coworkers and they were missed when they left.

    Cons

Upper management doesn't care how hard you work. Management can bully you and get away with it. Low staff to patient ratio and patient care suffers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Open up your eyes and pracyice what you preach! You let your management bully your staff.

    Pros

The residents and their families are the best thing about the facility, that would be about it-they have an outstanding receptionist.

    Cons

They put administrators in charge and if you question them in front of anyone they find a reason to fire you.
