I worked at Sila SG full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

There are some nice perks to working here, nice office culture, warm and friendly people. Good emphasis on professional development.... certifications and other courses. Enjoyable company sponsored picnics and outings. Bench time provided to find other opportunities if your current project ends.

    Cons

    - Only one big account, couple of other accounts are very small and yet to grow
    - Telecommuting not encouraged
    - Performance initiatives not clearly outlined
    - Sabbatical not allowed or defined
    - No overtime pay
    - Senior Management sometimes makes decisions based on your credibility with the company or how clients want it

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Build more visibility and get more projects/ accounts.

    Awesome Company

I have been working at Sila SG full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I would definitely recommend working for Sila SG. I had a great experience working there. The people are like a family.

    Cons

You don't always have a consulting gig and are sometimes "on the bench" with little to do. A lot of the consulting contracts don't have strong management within the respective client and there is often lack of direction.

    The "pretend" Company

I worked at Sila SG as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

It is a small company. For the most part, everyone knows each other. Company, on occasion, sponsors various "get together" for workers.

    Cons

Company's public face does not reflect private dealings with employees. The upper management purposefully deceits employees about company's direction and creates uncertainty among employees. As a result, the turnover at the company is very high. This is mainly due to upper management's less then sincere communication and feedback on employees' work and/or conduct.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be honest with employees and your clients, which are your greatest assets, and perhaps then the company can truly be good.

I have been working at Sila SG full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Lots of community involvment activities and collaboration within consultants, plenty of laidback colleagues to talk to. A variety of project opportunities within the client and a very diverse workforce. Opportunities to interface with offices in multiple cities, and access to several benefits for such a small company.

    Cons

It's unclear the direction or path for client development (diversification of client portfolio), also, there is not a very clear path for employee advancement. Employees must drive the conversation for improving themselves.
