ProsAwesome culture and people. Everyone is an expert in their field and will gladly help each other and explain themselves thoroughly.

ConsInternship program does not funnel into a full-time job based on performance necessarily. You need to go through the application process.

SVB has lost its luster; management is seriously disconnected

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Palo Alto, CA

ProsBenefits, life/work balance, employees are generally happy to be there

ConsWhen minor mistakes are made, it becomes a blame game, finger-pointing environment. Some bad managers are making things worse. Employees are afraid to say anything because of the backlash. They are being thrown under the bus.

Advice to Senior ManagementUpper management needs to pay attention. Bad managers are being promoted. It's quid pro quo.

    The people are great.

Relationship Manager (Current Employee) Palo Alto, CA

ProsOne of the best reasons is the flexibility. The management team is also good at communicating most of the important information to employees.

ConsNot everyone is qualified to be in their current positions and with the market the way it's trending their skills (or lack thereof) will show.

Advice to Senior ManagementTo the management team: know that compensation is generally below market so stay flexible and keep up the positive culture.
