    Pros

Flexible Hours, Smart Teammates, room to learn and grow. Great company to join if you're looking to break into the Asian Market. They have many teams but most people are kind and open. I love working with such a smart and bright team. It's also a fairly diverse setting, mixing in young and old people.

    Cons

It's a large company so you have to learn how to navigate.

    Advice to Management

Onboarding process can be cleaned up a bit. It was a little confusing.

    Pros

Get to interact with a lot of customer instead of just sitting around which is good. Overall okay experience.

    Cons

Colleques are not so friendly and often only care abt their role and themselves. Would not want to work here unless no choice.

    Pros

    - Decent work life balance. - Renumeration is fairly decent.

    Cons

    - Senior management has poor direction - Always on renewable contract - As IT personnel, ability to support from home after office hours is good. However, vpn request was rejected due to 'cost'. Not sure what cost is involved.

    Pros

Great exposure to a broad range of experiences - meet a wide number of industry players in a short amount of time Resources for large projects Marketing money is enormous Pay and benefits are pretty decent for fresh graduates, especially in Singapore context If you have a good boss, it will make your work experience alot better Seems to be a great stepping stone to get a great job elsewhere - this is the key bonus point

    Cons

Work Culture. It's bad. Enough said Very petty and political, if you have a bad boss it will define your whole experience Execution of products are terrible Greatly hampered by corporate structure, not nimble to respond or risk-averse

    Advice to Management

It seems that last man/woman standing wins, so there is a huge talent drain as great and capable people leave due to bad opportunities or bad bosses. Legacy company means people who stick it out (not well liked, not the best) rise to leadership positions, an extremely bloated Director/middle management layer.

    Pros

Big organisation, gradual learning curve with opportunities in the various dept.

    Cons

there is still some resistance to change in the middle management group

    Advice to Management

Focus on constant leadership renewal in the middle management space. this will ensure the new generation of leaders a smoother transition and a strong mandate to lead changes.

It all depends on the specific team you are in, and how "smart" you are. Not how hard you can work!

    Pros

First things first and this place is probably one of the few local firms who can offer international exposure. Salaries are not bad and total take home in an year is around the median pay of the industry. Solid brand name and typically people are good and helpful. Plenty of 'me too' policies for visibility and plenty of work-life balance noise. Holidays/Annual leave is better than local small firms, or some international firms too.

    Cons

Biggest issue is HR. Almost useless people are filled this department. "me too" stuff and not real policies from heart. Be it work-from-home or any other. There is a plenty of cynicism around, and people love to use "last time when we're working at your position,...." stories. Growth is slow and if you are working hard, people may not appreciate it and you need to maintain the 'relation' with a sr.leader to grow. Steoreotyping is common and for some people it can be a shocking experience to hear such comments from such a big company.

    Advice to Management

Do the stuff, and not simply 'talk'. If singtel really want to be a leader in asia-pac, you got to get the right talent and invest in the talent. Pay is simply one aspect, and plz focus on the whole relation with employees. People can't be forever motivated by pay check. So you need to engage them and motivate them to innovate. That's key to differentiate Singtel in the international arena and make all of us proud. Also get rid of middle management whose mindset is stuck in 80's or 90's (e.g. can't leave office before boss; must not question the boss decision..)
