    Pros

The people at SiriusXM are awesome and creative; the location is terrific and the talent is top notch across every channel.

    Cons

Compensation does not fit for living in Washington, DC and the extra work that producers are responsible for on a daily basis.

    Advice to Management

Increase base salaries so that raises/bonuses mean even more. Hold all producers to the same standard.

I worked at SiriusXM (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Many good associates to work with.

    Cons

Survival seems to depend less on performance and more on one's ability to align with particular groups. People at director level tend to delegate too much responsibility to managers below them. Makes for confusion and - in the case of contractors - unpaid overtime. Can be a great lon term gig if you learn to "play the game".

    Advice to Management

Force more meaningful interaction between director and "troops".

I have been working at SiriusXM full-time

    Pros

non music side can be very flexible on time you come in and leave as long as you get your work done

    Cons

constantly changing priorities can lead to fire drills that are "because someone needs this number"

    Advice to Management

learn to say no more to "worthless projects". try and grow employees from within.

    Pros

There is a lot to work on so you will never be bored.

    Cons

Lots of favoritism. It's all about who you know, not what you do.

I worked at SiriusXM full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great health benefits, fairly good schedule flexibility

    Cons

Poor salary, telecommute options are based on if management likes you, career advancement is almost non-existent if you aren't hand picked by senior management, There is no definitive mechanism for reviews therefore bonuses/promotions are often not merit based; cronyism- specifically in Channel Management.; corporate environment is horrible, creating lazy and miserable workforce.

    Advice to Management

Speak to your employees informally. Stop wasting talent in the lower ranks. Truly discover what your subordinates are capable of instead of your preconceived notions based on race/gender.

    Advice to Management
