Oklahoma City, OK

Former Employee – worked at Sitel part-time for more than 3 years

ProsCool people to work around, laid back. Easy job, controlled climate, weekly meetings, paid time off even if only part time, health, dental and eye benefits. Work with you on school schedules.

ConsNot very honest when it came to very important things like where the company stands financially and whether or it is stable, also some of management didn't seem too honest. Go nowhere job.

Advice to Senior ManagementHonesty is important!

Corning, NY

Former Employee – worked at Sitel full-time for more than a year

ProsJust about the only perk of this job is that it is indoors.

ConsYou are treated like a slave. No matter how hard you work it is never enough and there is always more to do than you can possibly get done. I would work 18 hour days because I was salaried and I still had things left to do when I finally left for the night. The only way to get ahead in this company is to kiss the as of the people in charge. When you do that your workload decreases and all of a sudden you are considered a "good" employee. If you just try to keep your head down and do your job then you will fail and everyone will talk about you behind your back.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop treating people like they are expendable and maybe they will do a better job for you

Las Vegas, NV

Former Employee – worked at Sitel part-time for more than 3 years

ProsNo pros I can think of

ConsMandatory overtime even when you have another job. Constantly changing bonus plan, starting from high, now no bonuses. Freeze pay rate, no performance raises after 2 years. People have been at same rate of pay if they work 5 years. Worried too much about handle time and after call work than doing what is right for customer.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet new upper management.

Prosanyone can get hired on the spot, a monkey could do the job, you can miss SOOOO many days with out getting fired, you can make a lot of decent friends there.

Consthe pay is low, everything is scripted to point that you feel like an automated system or robot, the managerial staff if immature, lazy, and discriminatory, the office politics is ridiculous here. you will be micromanaged to death.

Advice to Senior Managementpay people better and you won't have so much attrition, promote people that are qualified and experienced (not just the people you like to small talk with) and don't take away peoples coloring books, crossword puzzles, sudoku, etc... unless they aren't performing correctly. I saw so many people whose performance drop, or they quit when the policy against all of the things that people did to keep their mind off the fact that they couldn't stand repeating themselves over and over and over away.

Augusta, GA

Current Employee – been working at Sitel full-time for more than 3 years

ProsGreat co-workers, management works with school schedules...sometimes.

ConsDepending on the campaign your on your experience will vary, working for a cell phone company it was horrible, desk sharing, management not being knowledgeable on anything pertaining to the campaign, if you ask a question their response is "well you've been on the phone longer than i've been a supervisor so you should know how to find the answer", and we are severely understaffed, and it's blatantly obvious by the amount of calls are in waiting (over 200/day) on a 10 hour shift. Not worth the poor pay rate in which I'm currently capped off from.

Nashville, TN

Former Employee – worked at Sitel full-time for more than 10 years

ProsIn my thirteen years at Sitel I was challenged with being involved in a number of projects that were challenging and provided me with considerable personal growth. The culture was supportive and success was well rewarded. It was a great environment.

ConsI was recruited by another company and made the mistake of leaving. The grass is definately not greener on the other side. I wanted to return to Sitel after leaving the former company and there were no opportunities for me.
