Current Employee – been working at Six Flags part-time for more than a year
Pros – You meet a lot of fun people meaning the people you work with and then some others in the other departments. All of my supervisors and leads were awesome and very open minded to ideas. I'm able to purchase the prizes so it's an easy way to get gifts done. Still working here and it's been and still is fun.
Cons – Friendships/workers come and go.
The pay isn't all that but it gets the bills paid.
The hours are LONG and out in the sun. but hey, you're getting paid for it.
Wearing the Highlighter shirts.
– I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Six Flags
Pros – My job was a blast most days, I have many good memories of working here at part of the Justice League. Most of my coworkers were great people to work with and I even had a couple of supervisors who were nice to work for.
Cons – Many of the policies are silly and the supervisors don't even think critically about them. We were forced to stand facing the sun to take photos because they wanted us against a backdrop, even though everyone was squinting in many of the photos. We would get in trouble for moving even though the customers wanted to move.
Advice to Senior Management – Relax on some of the policies/think critically about arbitrary rules you set up.

Former Employee – worked at Six Flags part-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Great job if you are a go getter teenager. Was able to create my own schedule and work as much as I wanted. If you work hard there is room to move up. Excellent summer job with great experience that translates well.
Cons – Sometimes you are undervalued and overworked with little remorse. Strategic management would make changes to the company's operations that were ill-advised and made the job more strenuous and less fun.
Advice to Senior Management – Focus should be to please guests but also to appease to the young working staff whom are the guests primary interaction
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Former Employee – worked at Six Flags full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – They will let you take on as many projects as you would like! My skill set grew a lot while working there because I applied myself. If your young and looking for titles and experience its not a bad starter!
Cons – Pay, work hours are very demanding = no life!
Advice to Senior Management – Make sure your entry salary is close to what you need because once your in its very hard to get them to budge on a raise. Be ready for long hours! The place will own you!
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Six Flags full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Unique, challenging and constantly varied work place. Perks depend on park but great place to get experience early on in your work life.
Cons – Very little investment at some properties for employee services and employee used facilities. Sometimes too little control by the Corporate leadership. Too much emphasis on reducing spending to the point that issues are neglected until they are major problems.
Advice to Senior Management – Continue to utilize team member surveys to drive change at the properties. Focus on retaining seasonal and full time staff.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
