I have been working at Six Flags

    Pros

It is a fun place to work and you get to meet a lot of interesting people.

    Cons

Very little room for moving up within the company. A lot of people get "stuck" where they are. Managers are not always truthful with their intentions of your employment. A lot of favoritism.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at the experience of your employees before deciding on a promotion.

I worked at Six Flags part-time for less than a year

    Pros

It is an energetic enviornment where you have to deal with a lot of people. Everyone I worked for seemed fair and I rotated around the area a good amount so it wasn't to tedious

    Cons

It gets hot outside and you will be lucky to get an umbrella. The cooler is usually full but when its not its rough. Training could be more thorough

I have been working at Six Flags full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The hours are great, fellow team members are awesome, and the experience is fantastic. Any problems within departments and divisions is handled accordingly and promptly. It's a great place to meet new people and there are always events after work that strengthen the Aquatics department as a whole.

    Cons

Guests can be extremely rude and mocking. If a team member becomes favorited by management in any way, shape, or form they are almost guaranteed a promotion regardless of how good they actually are at their job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Most senior management are great, with a few exceptions. Their values are misleading to most team members, and the way they handle situations can be very dissatisfying and take way longer than necessary.

    Pros

They will hire just about anyone. Free Access to Six Flags parks. Opportunity for more than plenty of hours per week. A lot of fun to work at an amusement park.

    Cons

No overtime. Low hourly pay. Minimal promotion for Leads and Sups. Summer outside conditions can become too much for some people. Hours only good during the summer. Then limited to holidays and weekends for the most part.
