This is just meant to be a high school or college job, not much else. Do hours, get your minimum wage check and move on.

    I worked at Six Flags

    Pros

A fun environment and you also get free admission into the park and can bring a friend along for free.

    Cons

The company is very cheap and doesn't accommodate to employees. The co-workers were bad and not trustworthy at all.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management was fine, most were extreme opposites. Either laid back or extremely uptight and no fun.

    Pros

Very very good benefits, opportunity for overtime. Fun supervisors. Decent pay.

    Cons

Get rash cream and foot insoles, lots and lots of walking. If you don't get those supplies, work will be painful.

I worked at Six Flags part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

They train you very quickly usually only spending an hour training you on a ride. Everyone you work with is always in a good mood usually. The supervisors are pretty helpful and nice. It's a pretty laid back environment and doesn't feel like you're working.

    Cons

Stressful at times especially on busy days. Have to find own replacement for off days which makes it difficult sometimes. Gets pretty hot in summer and colder in the winter.

I have been working at Six Flags full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Get to interact with hundreds, even thousands, of parkgoers each day. Great if you like working with people. I love amusement parks and people so that was great for me.

    Cons

Job can be rote and boring after a few months; coworkers and supervisors did not seem to care much about their work beyond the fact that it payed the bills. Would have liked to see more enthusiasm.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more and give benefits so that you can retain good employees. It will cost more in the short run, but provide a much better experience to your customers, which will in turn be good for your park.
