Pros
Growth and financial stability. it was interesting working for the mi business unit. corporate skanska culture has not yet been adopted in the united states. it will take time but they are dedicated and are getting the states up to speed
Cons
skanska usa is not yet up to speed on the corporate culture. business units are still running the way the company they acquired. which causes frustration with upper mgt. because they are not changing with the new corporate culture that should be adopted. hard to relocate depending on what unit unit you are located in. get to the headquarters
Advice to Senior Management
keep up the good work
Pros
Only as stressful as you make it. The more responsibility you want, the more you are given. Benefits are better than what is offered by the competition. Variety of work assignments.
Cons
Top performers are recognized, but not compensated. It appears that upper management values loyalty over accomplishment: the bonus is system is more of a distribution than a reflection of your individual performance. Low performers are kept around far too long, which results in over-staffing of projects.
Advice to Senior Management
Dollars and cents seems to matter less and less when making decisions. Fiscally irresponsible decisions go unnoticed or unpunished (not sure which is worse).
