    Pros

    Excellent health benefits, corporate training can be a rewarding industry

    Cons

    Account management position is not a true account management position. You will not be provided with the support needed to provide a good customer experience. If you are talented enough to overcome the lack of support to renew and grow your accounts you will not be valued. There are many dysfunctional policies and procedures in place overall contributing to an unpleasant and demoralized work environment. It is a call center, so as expected, little to no opportunity exists for career growth. The training for employees exists as it does for the customers, there is a wealth of great training available but you have to find it, overcome technical obstacles and take time out of a demanding schedule to take advantage of it. Management does not understand your job and does not know how to train employees but will direct them to the training library or webex trainings. There is a leadership culture to lead by dominance and fear, even targeting those meeting and exceeding individual quota, as the center itself is not hitting goals. You will not be valued for knowledge of the training solutions you sell.

    Advice to upper management is to apply basic leadership and management logic. Coach don't threaten. Curb your conduct to act professionally. Top performers (or any employee) should not be bullied or they will move on to a healthy environment.

    Pros

    Flexible with working hours - so able to avoid rush hour traffic. They valued my creative input. I felt that I could contribute meaningfully to the company's direction.

    Cons

    There was really no room for growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Upon contracts termination HR gave a reason for the termination that was not true. They were just out of the loop, but it made for a tense work environment until that was cleared up.

    Awesome people, benefits, competitive pay

    Cons

    Inside sales is about as cold as you can get. If you do not want to just be given basically a phone book and some general info about companies and told to go get business, then this job isn't for you. It's ice froze cold calling, and a very long sales cycle.

    Pros

    Great benifits (vacation/wellness programs/401k/medical,dental,vision)
    Well known as the best provider of eLearning
    Good hours
    Great felid sales teams
    Excellent corporate office

    Cons

    Management does not communicate well with employees.
    Management likes to use fear and threatens their employees with tactics that diminish the confidence levels needed to sell.
    Make sure you are well like and part of the "in crowd" or you may loose leads.
    No clear path for advancement

    Work on delivering a consistent message. Be more fair with your employees. Its nice to have a vision "March to 50 Million" just dont loose sight of the people that are going to get you there.

    Pros

    Employee benefits are the best thing going for an inside sales rep at Skillsoft. The PTO, Medical, dental, 401K plan are great so take advantage while you are there from the first day of employment. I have met alot of good people who work as other inside sales reps as well

    Cons

    Atmosphere is very authoritative....just smile and dial all day. Mgmt knows how to crack a whip as they understand that there is no real sales cycle in the organization nor do they believe you can make any real money as an inside sales rep. Management controls the inbound leads so....if they don't like you, you won't get any. Watch what you say around the office as there are a few people who might be reporting your negativity.
