Former Employee – worked at Skills for Change full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Family oriented atmosphere
Everyone is very employee and customer centric
Cons – During my tenure, I noticed a sense of complacency had set in, especially in case of employees that had been working at the organization for several years. It looks like that is changing now, with new management.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Skills for Change
Pros – -great people and great purpose, it is an organization that I believe has the right idea in terms of their goals in helping newcomers to Canada finding jobs.
Cons – In this economic climate it is very difficult to find work and especially finding work for newcomers. I believe the coordinator that I worked for didn't understand that and still expected to reach employment targets.
-SfC needs a central database for Job Developers
Advice to Senior Management – Senior management needs to understand the times we are in and convey that information to funders and know that JD's are doing the best they can with the tools they have. Its hard enough to find jobs for people born here and 10x harder for those who are not.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
