I have been working at Skire

    Pros

    1) salary is competitive
    2) depending on supervisor, work hours can be flexible
    3) there is an effort to create a more enjoyable work environment
    4) co-workers mostly nice and helpful
    5) products are innovative

    Cons

    1) even though CEO is female, rest of senior management is good ol' boy (stodgy, grumpy,...)
    2) some managers create a negative, depressing atmosphere
    3) negativity and confrontation in meetings is becoming too common
    4) some departments are too tightly controlled, stifling creativity

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The company would benefit from some new blood in senior management. There also needs to be more open communication. Some senior management really has a way of sucking the enthusiasm right out of you.

    Former Employee - Implementation Specialist

    I worked at Skire

    Pros

The pay is good although turn around on expense checks is slow.

    Cons

Long hours, new employees are promised to shadow experienced employees during a break in period but this never happens. They are too short on resources to be able to do that. So instead, you are expected to lie to customers and make believe you know what you are doing before you actually can come up to speed and truly know what you are doing.

No feedback if you are not performing up to their expectations. You are just let go with no warning.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't make your employees lie to your customers. They can tell if someone is new.
