Employee (Former Employee) Mobile, NL (Canada)

ProsSome quality people with great values (business & human). The technology is attractive to the market

ConsVery little Enterprise Software experience at the top level (excluding a couple of VPs) resulting in poor marketing strategy, disorganized engineering dept , missed delivery dates, unstable product, unhappy customers, etc.
Different sets of rules for the CEO and her family than for other employees
Absolutely no HR or senior financial executive
    The worst medical plan

    Needs to loosen up

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

    Pros1) salary is competitive
    2) depending on supervisor, work hours can be flexible
    3) there is an effort to create a more enjoyable work environment
    4) co-workers mostly nice and helpful
    5) products are innovative

Cons1) even though CEO is female, rest of senior management is good ol' boy (stodgy, grumpy,...)
    2) some managers create a negative, depressing atmosphere
    3) negativity and confrontation in meetings is becoming too common
    4) some departments are too tightly controlled, stifling creativity

Advice to Senior ManagementThe company would benefit from some new blood in senior management. There also needs to be more open communication. Some senior management really has a way of sucking the enthusiasm right out of you.

Sweat Shop - be prepared to lie to the customer

    Implementation Specialist (Former Employee)

ProsThe pay is good although turn around on expense checks is slow.

ConsLong hours, new employees are promised to shadow experienced employees during a break in period but this never happens. They are too short on resources to be able to do that. So instead, you are expected to lie to customers and make believe you know what you are doing before you actually can come up to speed and truly know what you are doing.

No feedback if you are not performing up to their expectations. You are just let go with no warning.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't make your employees lie to your customers. They can tell if someone is new.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
